This “Bountiful Nature” series began as a nature walk…

Each piece in this series tells part of a story of what I was thinking about over the last summer season. In particular, it was inspired by Georgia O’Keefe and her desire to paint close ups of flowers so that she could “slow down the people of New York and make them notice what she notices”.

From the co-evolution of symbiotic relationships to group dynamics and our place within the larger living world, I wanted this series to feel like a nature walk feels when we are full of wonder.
